Education
Sept 2015–
July 2019
Brigham Young University–Idaho:
BA in English, Professional Writing Emphasis
From September 2015 to July 2019, I studied English and Professional Writing and BYU–I. During these years, I refined my writing and editing abilities by getting hundreds of hours of word mileage. I utilized Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides; and gained effective conflict resolution skills via many group projects. I completed difficult courses, including Grammar for the Generative Sentence, Editing, Technology for Professional Writers, Teaching Writing, Teaching English as a Second Language, and a Senior Professional Writing course which required a variety of real-world Professional Writing projects.
Sept 2018–
July 2019
Brigham Young University–Idaho:
Certificate in Computer Information Technology
As my Bachelor's degree came to a close, I realized that I needed to gain additional skills to give me an edge in the professional writing world. After serious research, I determined that the best way to do so would be to study technology that would give me a better understanding of what my future clients and/or employers would need from me. I worked hard to gain a Certificate in CIT, which included taking courses in Excel, Object-Oriented Programming (Java), Programming (HTML and JavaScript), Networking, and Databases. These courses have served me well in my career thus far, and will continue to prove useful in future positions.
